Create New Project

Choose between two options:

Click the down arrow next to the New button.

Select File > New > Select from the Main Menu.
The Module menu opens.

Select Project from the menu.
The Project Details page opens.

Enter a name for the project in the Name field.

Enter a target date for the project in the Target Date field.
This field is the first field in the Schedule Info section in the 2nd column.

Complete any other fields that are relevant to your project.

Click Save.
You are not required to click Save before entering additional data; however, some pages cannot be accessed until the record is saved.
As soon as the new project is saved for the first time, Maintenance Connection automatically generates the Project ID and display the new ID in the Work Center header.
The Project ID is incremented each time a new project is generated. Depending on the preference set by your organization, the Project ID may have a prefix indicating the Repair Center ID.
In an organization that includes Repair Center ID as the prefix, sequential Project IDs for the Repair Center XYZ would look like: XYZ-1435, XYZ-1436. Whereas, in an organization that does not use Repair center ID' as a prefix, the Project IDs would look like: 1435, 1436, 1437.

Click the Work Orders tab.

Follow the procedures on Work Orders page to associate work orders with the project.
Work orders can also be associated with projects from the Work Order module, by entering the Project # on the Work Order Details page.

Add any other relevant information on the other tabs of the project.

Click Save.
